Today marks the end of our 4th year honoring Hero’s who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. To finalize this year’s HERO Month, today we are honoring Matthew “Lardylar” Larson. Matthew is survived by his brother Jake who is one of our own here at Letrono CrossFit. Congratulations to all who have made this month a month of honor, dedication and respect of all the Fallen Hero’s.

Matthew Craig “Lardylar” Larson was born on January 11, 1988 and passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Matthew joined the Army at 17, where he served with the 118th Engineer Sapper company. He achieved the ranked of E-6 Staff Sergeant. Matthew served combat tours in both Iraq , Afghanistan, and overseas tour in Germany.
He is survived by his parents, Craig and Angie Larson and 6 siblings. He always held a very tender place in his mother’s heart, she loved him so much. Matthew has always been an independent person, doing things his way and pushing himself to achieve more, he will be missed for his big hugs, and contagious smile.
22 is the number of veterans that pass away from suicide every day.
