NYE Throwdown 2014 was another great event to put in the books. Thanks to everyone who came out and endured the organized chaos as we ran 19 teams through 5 events. Thanks to Coach Aleix for setting up and running the event and to Quinn and Denise T for score keeping!! The winners this year who won bragging rights and some cash were: RX Division – Steve Bender and Mindy Shaffer. Scaled Division winners were – Brandon and Kat Steele A big shout out to those that came out and competed for the first time ever and to the two ladies who have only completed 2 on-ramp classes and showed up and kicked some booty, Lisa M and Kathy P. Also, a shout out to Allison who showed up and competed with Coach E despite not having much of a voice. Many ended the year 2014 with a new PR on their Power Clean and more of us starting the new year unable to move due to the soreness that set in after the throw-down, something about weighted lunges and squats…….It’s a love/hate thing.
